July was a GREAT month. We were recouperating from Whitney and Duane's wedding and Mr. Jan and Mrs. Gail let us take my mom and dad to the beach to have a relax and do nothing week after the stress of the wedding. It was over the July 4th weekend, so we had fun eating, swimming, and watching the fireworks...MY FAVORITE! And Wil Franklin wasn't scared AT ALL of the noise or bright colors. YAY!
Mimi and WF at dinner one night.
Dadaddy and WF watching the fireworks...
We also got to go to a July 4th event at my Uncle Dan's house where my granddaddy Robertson and my great Aunt Rene (short for Irene). Here is Wil Franklin with his Great Granddaddy Rob and Great Great Aunt Rene...
Here are a few other fun shots from July...
This is Wil Franklin in the gown that I bought when I was trying so desperately to have a baby. I think it was a year and a half before I got pregnant. It says I know the plans I have for you. It just spoke to me when I saw it and I burst into tears. I bought it for whenever I would have a baby.
Needless to say...I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!
Also in July, Wil Franklin moved to his big boy High Chair!
AND Daddy took Wil Franklin to a Mississippi BRaves baseball game all by himself. That was also a first!
August came in and FLEW by! Matt turned 30! Wil Franklin was 8 months old. It was HOT in Mississippi! We had a great month, though. We went on the Collins Family summer trip to Amelia Island and had a wonderful time. Here's Wil Franklin on the beach...
I'll have to do a whole post on that trip because we have some great family photos on the beach.
Here are a few fun photos from August.
Wil Franklin went to another Braves game...
We moved from gowns at bedtime to PJs in August.
LOVED this pictures of him in his PJs...
August was when he started pulling up on the furniture and learning how to stand on his own. He was a master at crawling!
I gave him blueberries for the first time in one of those fruit nets where he can't get choked. I think he liked them...what do you think?
September a lot of fun. God answered some major prayers for us during this month. Maybe I'll blog about those oneday, but it was an amazing month.
Wil Franklin got to go to his first football game this month. He was 9 months old and we took him to Delta STate for Pig Pickin. It was so much fun to take him to Cleveland and introduce him to all our friends there.
We stayed with our good friend Roane and Libbi Logan and their two sons Nathan (5) and Thomas (a month younger than WF). Wil Franklin loved his new friend.
He also took his first step by himself while we were at their house. He had LOTS of witnesses. My big boy is growing up!
At the end of September, we went to visit my Granddaddy Rob and we got to see some new kitty cats that were born out in his barn. Wil Franklin didn't quite know what to think. It was too cute!
September is also the month that my child became EXTREMELY mobile. He was fast and could get around so quickly! One day I was chasing him around the couch and one time around he just didn't come back around. So I walked around to see what he was doing and he had gotten into the plant behind the couch and got a handful of dirt...and of course it went straight into his mouth! In like 3 seconds!
Here is the little dirt eater with the evidence all over his mouth!
We also got to spend a day with my cousin Danielle and her two boys Hayden & Luke. Wil Franklin LOVES those "big kids". He got to play in thier car and said, "Mama, I have GOT to get me one of these!" (said like Will Smith in Men in Black). Not really but he said it with his eyes. =)
We had a great summer and a great beginning to our fall. Stay tuned for October and our first experience with pumpkins...and Halloween!
